Visitors to this year's Hong Kong Environmental Protection Festival hung their 'green' wishes on a tree made of aluminium cans. Visitors wrote their hopes for protecting and improving the environment on pieces of paper and hung them on the three-metre Green Wish Tree.

This year's festival focused on the themes of waste reduction, clean air and the protection of water resources.

Furniture made from recycled materials, such as plastic bottles and pipes, was also on display.

Visitors took part in workshops and question-and-answer sessions.

There were also colourful displays and fun games about environmental protection.

The festival took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition centre and was jointly organised by the Environmental Campaign Committee and the Environmental Protection Department.
