Cage wasting taxpayers' money

I AGREE with Dr Wedderburn (South China Morning Post, August 5), regarding the jaguars at the Zoological and Botanical Gardens. Of the $5.2 million allocated for the new cage, $1 million will be spent on artificial rocks. This is wasting taxpayers' money.All of the 600 square metres could be covered with Hong Kong granite for less than 10 per cent of $1 million.
