Police are searching for two knifemen who broke into a century-old Ming Dynasty temple in Sheung Shui, tied up its elderly keeper and stole $7,000 from a donation box. The pair, who climbed into Sam Shing Kung Temple late on Sunday, then ate a bowl of instant noodles before escaping. The temple-keeper, 63, who was not injured, struggled free and raised the alarm. The intruders, who spoke Putonghua, are believed to have been illegal visitors from the mainland.
