ROLE IN UNAUTHORISED TRADING DRAWS SFC IRE

The Securities and Futures Commission has reprimanded Lau Chi-keung, a former staff member at CEF Brokerage, for introducing clients to an unregistered staff member between December 2000 and January last year. The unnamed unregistered staff member is being investigated by the police for allegedly trading without clients' authorisation. Lau's negligence facilitated the conduct of unauthorised trading, the SFC said.
