The annual China Coast Community Charity Golf Day will be held next Friday at Shek O. The one-day event will be staged to raise funds for the elderly and organisers are hoping for a good turnout. 'Last year we raised $150,000 through the golf day and we hope to match, if not better that figure this time. I hope there will be a good response. Shek O has been newly renovated and is now in superb condition and this is one of those rare opportunities to play golf at this exclusive club,' said Alistair Poulson, chairman of the organising committee. The Chairman of the China Coast Community is John Hung, who is also head of the Hong Kong Sports Development Board, and its board consists of volunteers from the Hong Kong business community. Entries are accepted from teams of four ($9,200 per team) and from individuals ($2,500) and is limited to 72 players. Interested parties should call 2525-9328 for particulars. Entries close tomorrow. Last year's event was won by the KPMG Kites team. The event includes a prize-giving and barbecue.
