In a town where a vegetarian meal usually means veggies topped with fish balls, you may be scratching your head over what and where to eat to support International Meatless Day today.

Followers of the late Indian spiritual mentor Sadhu Vaswani proposed that November 25, his birthday, be celebrated not only as a no-meat day but also as Animal Rights Day.

But Hong Kong is believed to be an outsider in the campaign. Major meat supplier Ng Fung Hong Ltd said it was not aware of the significance of today, and that it would be business as usual.
