The Reverend Wu Chi-wai, spokesman for the Christian Anti-Soccer Betting Alliance, said Catholics, Protestants, Taoists, Buddhists, Muslims and Confucians would take part in a joint action, details of which will be announced on Wednesday, with a mass protest to be held after Christmas. The alliance will present a petition bearing 10,000 signatures from 300 churches before the issue is discussed in the Executive Council meeting tomorrow morning.
