Thailand have pulled out of this week's Tuanku Ja'afar Cricket Trophy, leaving hosts Hong Kong to battle it out with Singapore and Malaysia for the title. Thailand have been replaced by Hong Kong 'A' but matches against Hong Kong 'A' are unofficial and do not carry any championship points. Hong Kong 'A' cannot play in the final. Defending champions Hong Kong will be captained by Rahul Sharma and will play their first match against Singapore on Friday at the Hong Kong Cricket Club. The top two teams after a round-robin competition will meet each other in the final on Sunday.
