An unemployed Hong Kong man has been jailed for one year by a Shenzhen court for bigamy. It is the first case in Shenzhen since the mainland made bigamy a criminal offence early this year. Wong Ching-kuen's wife, Yiu Oi-ping, 53, discovered her husband had cheated on her when the woman turned up on a two-way permit last year. Wong had registered the marriage in Hubei in 2000. After the sentence, Ms Yiu said she was satisfied and Wong said he would appeal.
