It will be the biggest Jubilee event in Asia and the last this year, but the big concern surrounding the visit of Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex (below) hasn't been protocol or security - it has been the quality of the buffet. Organisers of the Queen's Golden Jubilee Garden Party have 'eaten their way across the clubs of Hong Kong' in search of the 'finest scones and tea', and have announced the buffet will be provided by the Hong Kong Cricket Club. 'It's going to be a spectacularly Commonwealth event,' said Paul Surtees, founder and president of the Royal Overseas League, Hong Kong. 'Brass bands, bunting, the lot.' This uniquely British garden party takes place in Happy Valley from 3pm to 6.30pm on Sunday. For tickets call 2537 4170 or e-mail gardenparty@rosl.org.hk .
