Emerging from 12 months of stagnant sales and a sweeping restructuring programme, the company this week introduced a strategy for providing Internet protocol (IP) telephony systems and simplifying how these can be adopted for various business applications.

Datacraft Asia chief strategy officer Vincent Lum yesterday said the company expected to generate new business from the top 30 per cent of its more than 2,000 clients in the region.

'We want to address the 'pain point' for many multinational enterprises, which have found it difficult to combine their voice and data resources in speedy, innovative and cost-effective ways in Asia,' he said.

'For companies to drive down costs and increase profitability, something has to be done to simplify how systems interact and how information technology users are connected and managed.'
