About 500 taxis blocked the taxi rank at Hong Kong airport for two hours yesterday morning in a drivers' protest against the arrest of a colleague on Thursday. The drivers said the arrest was unfair as their colleague was only trying to prevent unofficial cabbies touting for passengers near the rank. The blockade only ended when the Airport Authority and the police agreed to the drivers' demands to clamp down on unofficial taxis.
