Tycoon Li Ka-shing's media group Tom.com provides media and advertising services in the Greater China region. In a recent report, KGI Asia said the firm was continuing with its cross-media strategy. Tom.com recently signed two memorandum of agreements - one with Charm Art & Advertising and the other with Henan Ming Sheng Advertising - to form television and print advertising joint ventures in the mainland. Both joint ventures were expected to be completed by the end of the year, KGI said. 'The two [joint ventures] should offer synergies to their current operations,' the report said. 'However . . . most of Tom's growth seen over the past year has mainly been non-organic. Hence, we maintain our cautious outlook on the group as we wait for more signs of steady organic growth.'
