The SAR will blood a new crop of players during this week's three-Test hockey series against Singapore. The first international will be played tonight at Kings Park. 'We will be using this series to try out about five or six young players. It will be a good opportunity to experiment,' said Hong Kong captain Farouk Saeed. Hong Kong will be without regular forwards Asif Ali, Ishtiaq Khan and Alfonso Cordeiro for the opening game. Left midfielder Tom Ayers is also out with an injury. 'Singapore wont be as tough as the opposition we faced at the recent Asian Games in Pusan. But they will still provide good competition. It is a pretty important series to us as we are looking at the future,' added Saeed, the team's penalty-corner expert. Hong Kong defeated Singapore 2-0 the last time they met, at the AHF Cup in the SAR a few months ago.
