A man was jailed yesterday for five years for tying up a former colleague with two accomplices, robbing her and photographing her topless.
Chow Chun-yuen, 34, told the victim he would release the pictures if she went to the police.
Deputy Judge Tong Man said a deterrent sentence was necessary. 'The victim experienced tremendous pain, both physically and psychologically, for more than three hours,' he said.
Chow, now a taxi driver, was found guilty in the District Court of one count of robbery, two of theft and one of indecent assault. He had pleaded not guilty.
The victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, previously told the court how Chow, a former salesman in a manufacturing firm, phoned her on September 1 to say he had found her a new client. He arranged to meet her two days later in Tsim Sha Tsui and picked her up in his car.
He told her they would meet the client in Sha Tin. During the trip, he picked up two other men, who tied the woman's hands and demanded money before stealing her credit cards.
