Got something on your mind? Don't sit there worrying. Let write@ttitude sort it out. Send your questions to email@example.com I need a second-hand computer, preferably a lap-top. Cheap computers are no good and the good ones are expensive. So where can I buy a good-quality second-hand PC for a reasonable price? Is there an online bidding site for lap-tops? Max Write@ttitude says: There are a lot of local shops specialising in second-hand digital equipment. One of them is Ego Company (Shop 379, 298 Computer Zone, 298 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai. Tel: 2871 2566. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org ). Apart from the popular Wan Chai Computer City, the Golden Computer Shopping Centre next to Sham Shui Po MTR station is also worth a look. The Web site, http://www . hkgolden.com, is a comprehensive computer shopping guide, with addresses of recommended shops and a list of the hottest models, including lap-tops. However, some of the information is available only in Chinese. Good luck with your search! Hi, I read in the SCMP some weeks ago about a place called the Hong Kong Philosophy Cafe. I would like to know more about it. Philosophy Phancy Write@ttitude says: Hong Kong Philosophy Cafe was founded by Stephen Palmquist, an associate professor in the Department of Religion and Philosophy at Hong Kong Baptist University, three years ago. But it is not an actual cafe. It is the name for regular meetings open to those who are interested in discussing philosophy-related topics. Philosophy Cafe originated in Paris in 1992. Dr Palmquist brought it to Hong Kong after attending the Third International Conference on Philosophical Thought in New York in 1997, where the idea had quickly gathered momentum. Local meetings are mostly held at the Fringe Club in Central and the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Kowloon. For more details on discussion topics, dates and location, you can e-mail Dr Palmquist at email@example.com .
