BULLDOZERS rather than Bull Dogs could be a more fitting logo outside the new Mad Dogs pub in Central, if strong rumours in the property market are true.
The story goes that the Far East Exchange Building, where Mad Dogs is sited, has been bought for $500 million by a company - reputed to be Central Development Ltd - wanting to redevelop the site.
It is believed that gutsy owner Laura McAllister has been offered only a small proportion of the millions of dollars she spent on decorating the pub.
Interestingly, there were no denials from her office. When we phoned earlier this week, her secretary told us Ms McAllister had no comment to make.
When Keeping Posted called Central Development to try to contact finance director Charles Hui about the plans for that building, we were first asked: ''Is it about the redevelopment?'' The later ''no comment'' might have come a little too late.
