A BOAT full of Vietnamese illegal immigrants was intercepted off Cheung Chau yesterday morning.

  Some 56 people, from Beihai in Guangxi province, were taken to the Green Island reception centre.

  The latest arrivals have boosted the number of illegal immigrants from Beihai to 2,293 people since the beginning of July.
