After a month-long battle, Zach Behr and Flo Presenti scooped the US$1 million (HK$7.8 million) prize of The Amazing Race 3 this month. Broadcast on AXN - an adventure and action cable channel - The Amazing Race followed 12 teams with two contestants competing against each other in a global race across four continents. The contest was gruelling both physically and mentally. However, co-winner Behr said that many difficulties he faced were overcome by trusting his partner. Behr told Young Post over the phone that 'the good thing about this race is that it deals with the relationship between teammates. You have to trust your teammate'. Second runner-up Gerard Duphiney agreed: 'Besides physical fitness, you need patience.' The 24 participants were put through different and dangerous challenges, such as leaping off a cliff with a safety harness, as they moved from one country to another. The first team that returned to the place of origin in America won. Other winners include first runners-up, the husband-and-wife team of Ian and Teri Pollack, and brothers Ken and Gerald Duphiney were second runners-up. For those who may want to consider taking part in the next one, take a tip from New Yorker Behr: 'You have to pack light and stay positive.' The Amazing Race 3 will rerun on AXN beginning January 28 from 10pm to 12am, with two episodes every Tuesday from 10pm to 12am.
