TV MAKER REPORTS SURGE IN SALES VOLUME

The mainland's largest television maker, Sichuan Changhong Electronics, saw sales volume surge 78 per cent this year to more than 11 million units, due to increased exports. The company said the growth made it the world's second-largest TV set maker in terms of production and sales volume, just behind South Korea's Samsung, China Securities Journal reported on its Web site.
