Party At The Palace
World, 9.05pm
Last summer an incredible array of musical stars took part in an historic concert in the grounds of Buckingham Palace to celebrate the golden jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The queen invited 12,000 guests by way of national ballot, as well as the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, Princes William and Harry, the Princess Royal, the Duke and Duchess of Wessex and other members of the royal family. The show included performances by Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Sir Cliff Richard, Eric Clapton, S Club 7, Steve Winwood, Joe Cocker, Rod Stewart, former Beach Boy Brian Wilson, Ozzy Osbourne, and many more. The proceedings were hosted by, among others, Ben Elton and Lenny Henry, with a special guest appearance by one of the British monarch's most loyal subjects, Dame Edna Everage.
