Madame Butterfly

The much-loved opera about an American lieutenant and a Japanese woman is being adapted into a Cantonese opera. Scriptwriter Yip Siu-tak has kept the original storyline and actors and actresses dress in Japanese and Western costumes, but the music arrangement and singing methods are in a traditional style of Cantonese opera.
