While dipping into the archives yesterday, we came across a short piece written in 1933, describing a new and highly desirable residential area: Kai Tack Bund.

  New residents there swore that ''they could not hope to find a more delightful place to live in''.

  ''One gets all the fresh air one desires in Kai Tack,'' the writer continued.
