Rob Watts is moving to Hong Kong headquarters to take over as chief operating officer of Swiss Re's business units in the Asia division. He has more than 35 years' experience in the financial-services industry and was formerly head of the Australia/New Zealand and Southeast Asia business units. He will join the Asia division's strategic management team, which oversees the company's property and casualty business in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Mr Watts' appointment is part of the company's management changes at its Asia division. Leadership of the division's Greater China, Japan/Korea and Middle East, Turkey and South Asia business units remain unchanged, headed by Franz Hahn, Takashi Goda and Davinder Rajpal respectively. He now focuses on corporate finance matters in Hong Kong and other leading Asian markets. He joined the company in September. Godfrey Chan Event manager New World Renaissance Hotel Mr Chan has more than nine years' experience in banquet sales at various hotels, including Regal Kowloon Hotel, Furama Hotel Hong Kong and Harbour Plaza Hong Kong, where he was senior banquet sales manager before joining New World Renaissance.
