Prada's fashion show at the Exhibition and Convention Centre last Thursday night delivered some mixed messages. The Italian clothes company reckons 'urban beachwear' is in, and next summer Hong Kong women will be wearing dresses that formerly passed as underwear. To underscore its new look, Prada set up a wall of televisions to zoom in on the models' skinny legs. The trouble was they were widescreen TVs so the models looked elephantine. One socialite was confused. 'Are they saying fat ankles are in?' she wondered, before looking at her own skinny feet and adding: 'Better tell my collagen man in Bangkok to get in extra-supplies.'
