THE emergency units of two Kowloon hospitals were on standby last night to receive accident patients from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after its air-conditioning system broke down. One patient had to be transferred to the Kwong Wah Hospital for emergency surgery after the operating theatres at the Queen Elizabeth were forced to close.
