MODEL DID NOT DYE HAIR

I refer to the report headlined 'Woman officer reprimanded over dyed hair' (South China Morning Post, January 24).

The report quoted a legal expert as saying that the woman officer appearing in the force's recruitment poster had highlighted hair. The officer appearing in the poster had not coloured her natural deep brown hair. The different hair colour observed was only the result of a reflection of strong sunlight and flashlights during the shooting of the poster.

As mentioned in your report, all police officers are required to have their hair neatly and tidily trimmed and in their natural or original colour.
