A man charged with murdering two Yuen Long schoolgirls faced an additional charge of attempting to murder his three children when he appeared in a Tuen Mun Court yesterday.
The new charge against Duong Vinh Cuong, 38, relates to an incident in which a gas cylinder exploded on December 20 last year during a police siege of his house in Pak Sha Village, Yuen Long.
Duong and his three children, aged between one and five, were injured in the incident.
He had already been charged with murdering Yim Pui-shan, 10, on either December 19 or 20, and 11-year-old Chan Lok-man between December 4 and 21.
The case was transferred to Eastern Court on March 14 for mention.
