The Mid-Levels dog poisoner is believed to have struck again along a popular walking trail after a puppy died. A Korean dog owner was walking her pet just after 8.45am when she saw a puppy lying on Black's Link near Stubbs Road. The woman drove the puppy to Wan Chai officers of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals but it later died. The SPCA is testing a chicken bone found at the scene, which police suspect may have been poisoned. At least 20 dogs have been killed in Mid-Levels since 1989 from poisoned bait.
