Hong Kong were lying in 22nd position in the overall standings at the halfway stage of the Hobie Tiger World Championship, currently being held in Singapore. SAR duo Philipe Moriau and Brian Phipps have had mixed results in the five races sailed so far, but are confident that they can improve their performance going into the last two days. 'We finished 31st in the only race held on the first day. The rest of the races were cancelled due to no winds. On the second day we raced four races and picked up nine places. We are the leading Asian team and things are coming together,' said Moriau. Hong Kong finished 21st in the first race on day two, a creditable seventh in the next and then ended the day with 17th and 23rd places. Teams are allowed to discard one result after five races. More than 80 teams are taking part.
