Asia's first plastic surgery magazine for the rich and wannabe beautiful set is ready to roll. Launching in April, Cosmetic Surgery & Beauty magazine will explore snips and tucks with the kind of style and gush usually associated with up-scale travel magazines. Publisher Faridah Stephens promised it wouldn't just be a cut-and-paste job. 'The cosmetic surgery industry is booming across Asia,' she told SAR from her Malaysian office. 'We will be giving consumers advice on what to get, where to go and how these techniques work.' Stephens has also produced a 26-minute pilot television programme which she hopes to develop into a 13-episode series for Hong Kong television. The English-language mag may well be a hit with scandal-sheet readers as well. 'We have interviews with Asian celebrities talking honestly about their experiences with plastic surgery.' Stephens won't reveal which celebrities will take part yet. Having watched the changing faces of the Hong Kong A-list in the past year, SAR knows she will have no shortage of potential interviewees. But will they speak up?
