Local lovers in the audience of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change are being invited to join in the Broadway tradition of climbing on to the stage to propose.
During the hit romantic musical's seven-year New York run, more than 40 men have stepped up and popped the question and been greeted with applause and standing ovations (and so far, no refusals). So when the play comes to the Fringe Club next week, producer Suzy DeLine wants locals to join in. 'It takes a brave man to step up from the crowd and declare his love,' she said. 'But if anyone does try it, the whole cast will be there with champagne.'
I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change - described as a musical-comedy joyride through the spectrum of male-female relationships: dating, friendship, love and marriage - will play the Fringe Theatre from March 5 to 8.
Tickets are available from HK Ticketing (tel: 3128 8288) or at the Fringe Club box office (tel: 2521 2176).
