A fresh signature campaign against draft national security legislation is under way as the government prepares for the first reading of the blue bill in the Legislative Council tomorrow. The Civil Human Rights Front, a coalition of 43 organisations, is to hold a candle-light vigil at Chater Gardens tonight followed by a protest outside Legco tomorrow. The coalition plans to mount an education campaign to counter what they say are misleading pamphlets issued by the government on the blue bill.
