'WORK AND PLAY - what's the difference?' asks a smiling Paul Hsu.
For the founder and executive director of Elite Concepts, one of Hong Kong's leading hospitality groups, the difference is small, if existent at all.
The 45-year-old spends his days working and nights out with friends. But all his friends are from the industry, and their favourite topic of conversation is, of course, food, restaurants and the people involved in them.
Beginning with the American Pie in Lan Kwai Fong some 12 years ago, Mr Hsu's venture is now probably best known for La Cite in Pacific Place, One-fifth on Star Street, and now Klong on Lockhart Road.
At his office on Electric Street - an apt address for a company that was created to bring 'new energy and ideas to the city's entertainment and dining scene' - Mr Hsu talks to The Informer about food (his passion), growing up in the Hilton and great restaurants.
Q: How did Elite Concepts begin?
A: I spent ten years in the food and beverage industry in China as an employee.
