Although the annual International Arts Carnival (IAC) is still months away, you can get a head start in joining the exciting art and cultural extravaganza by entering its graphic design competition now.
The aim of the contest, organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, is to raise students' interest in design and creativity. It is divided into primary and senior sections.
Students can enter individually or as a team with friends. More than one design may be submitted.
The design should demonstrate the objectives and contents of the IAC, which will run for six weeks from July 12 to August 24.
The IAC is one of the major festivals for young people and families in the local cultural calendar. The annual event includes entertaining and educational performances ranging from music, dance, drama, puppetry, mime, magic, clowning and film to workshops and exhibitions.
Entries should measure 59cm by 42cm for the primary section, and 76cm by 51cm for the secondary section.
