Get your racquet ready. Primary and secondary schools are invited to take part in the Hang Seng All Schools Table Tennis Championships, beginning in May. The annual tournament, organised by the Hang Seng Table Tennis Academy, aims to enhance students' interest in the sport. It will start on May 17 at the Table Tennis Centre in Cornwall Street Park, Kowloon Tong. There are four categories - secondary school boys and girls and primary school boys and girls. Each school can send two teams comprising four players to the tournament. The top four players in the primary school categories will have the opportunity to go to the mainland for training. Last year, more than 1,500 students participated in the competition. Jing Ying champion Tse Ka-chun from Hong Kong International School won the secondary school boys' title. Cheung Yat-yu from Diocesan Girls' School claimed the secondary school girls' title. Application forms can be downloaded from the academy Web site at www.hktta.org.hk . The deadline is March 26.
