The Practice

In the sixth season's premiere episode, Ellenor (Camryn Manheim) is called to the home of a close friend, Senator Keith Ellison (Dylan Baker). The senator is spattered in blood, and there's a murdered man in his bed. Assistant district attorneys Helen Gamble (Lara Flynn Boyle, above) and Alan Lowe (Ron Livingston) allege that Ellison came home, discovered his wife in bed with another man and shot him in a fit of rage.

Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L Martin) investigate the shooting of a female civil court judge in her building's garage. When the suspect is brought to trial, the judge's refusal to implicate him hinders the prosecutors' case.

Oliver's Twist

Greg and Junior are stand-up comedians, who tour late-night clubs in Britain and live on a terrible diet of take-away food and beer. Jamie Oliver (above) cooks them a midnight snack with a difference - it's healthy. Oliver shows the comedians simple foods that are quick and easy to prepare, including spaghetti puttanesca, warm rocket salad and chocolate cake.
