Jackie Chan is often criticised for leaping on to any passing publicity bandwagon, American ship or paparazzi platform with the speed of a PR-savvy Shaolin monk.
So it was nice to discover Chan's meeting with eight-year-old Kenney Roman, an American fan who is terminally ill, was not released to the press and only recently surfaced through a letter written by Kenney's mother to her local newspaper.
It seems Chan arranged for the wheelchair-bound Kenney to travel by limousine to the film premiere of Shanghai Knights and met him privately before and after the screening.
