China Mobile (Hong Kong) yesterday announced a management reshuffle in which one-third of its board of directors was replaced. China Mobile appointed Zhang Ligui, president of China Mobile Communications Corporation, its parent company, to be a non-executive director. Mr Zhang's two deputies - Li Yue and Lu Xiangdong - were appointed as directors to assist chairman and chief executive Wang Xiaochu. The company also announced the appointment of Moses Cheng Mo-chi as a non-executive director. The four will replace chief operating officer Li Zhanqun, and three other directors - Lui Ping, Yuan Jianguo and Wei Yiping. Last week China Mobile denied reports that Mr Wang would soon leave the firm. Yesterday, Mr Wang said: 'Whether I go or stay depends on the decision of our board and our shareholders, particularly our controlling shareholder.'
