The trimaran Great American II is falling behind in its attempt to break the 154-year-old record for sailing from Hong Kong to New York as light winds slowed the yacht's progress. Three days into the 15,000 mile journey, the 53-foot vessel, with American pair Rich Wilson and Rich du Moulin aboard, was only about 500 miles south of Hong Kong. In 1849, record holder Sea Witch had sailed some 1,100 miles in the same number of days.
