SHANGHAI GM TURNS TO PEOPLESOFT HCM

Hong Kong: Shanghai General Motors has chosen PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) to streamline, deploy and align its 3,000-strong workforce. Shanghai GM, formed in 1998, is the largest Sino-US joint venture in China, with equal investment from Shanghai Automobile Industry (Group) and General Motors US totalling US$1.5 billion. Shanghai GM chose the Chinese version of PeopleSoft HCM 8.8 to cut down on administrative expenses, PeopleSoft North Asia general manager Wei Sibo said.
