If you have been in a Blockbuster video store recently you can't have failed to miss Sandra Ng's infectious laugh in Golden Chicken blaring from the TV monitors. For her role as a veteran vice girl, Ng was nominated for a best actress award at this year's Hong Kong Film Festival. She also co-hosts the late-night talk show Wa Wa Wa with Chapman To on Commercial Radio 2.

Do you work out? Sometimes, but not much these days because of my work hours. I used to be a member of the gym at the Island Shangri-La hotel. I like swimming and still use the hotel pool in summer. I tried yoga once but it was so complicated. Basically, I'm a very lazy person.

When? Summertime

How many times a week? Not regularly, I hate the gym. I try to eat less instead.

Favourite exercise or regimen? I sometimes lift weights at home and I have a hula-hoop, which I find is fun.

Diet - are you a healthy eater? I tend to skip breakfast and lunch but always have dinner which is usually a rice dish. I eat lots of fruit, especially mango.

Alcohol - do you indulge? No, not much - red wine sometimes.

Do you smoke? Sometimes when I'm working on a set - it relieves the boredom. I also have to smoke for some roles in films.

What time is bedtime? Very late, usually between 3am-4am. After I finish work I don't really like to go out anymore. I find clubs claustrophobic these days. I prefer to read books, watch movies and take a long bath.

Ever undergone cosmetic surgery? Never, and I find the thought quite scary. I don't mind growing old naturally.

Favourite sport? I'm learning tenpin bowling - it's a good hobby for me as it keeps me fit and active. I watched the football World Cup last year and followed Brazil.

Health tip Don't eat too much junk food or sweet stuff. Take plenty of vitamins and drink Chinese soup.
