TNT Express Worldwide (HK) refuses to be thwarted by the atypical pneumonia outbreak. Striving to improve morale and provide a safe working environment, it has relied on its crisis management teams and business contingency and continuation plans to cope with the problems.
The company reacted almost instantly to the health threat.
'We activated the TNT 'war room' on March 31. The war room includes Internet access, radio, dedicated phone lines and a map of Hong Kong with black spots of affected areas highlighted,' says TNT Express Worldwide (HK) human resources director Louisa Lee Kam-mei.
To maintain company morale, TNT recently launched a 'best' programme.
'We want to keep up the morale of our employees, even in these tough times,' Ms Lee says, adding that the programme also lets operational staff communicate with management.
TNT is a leading provider of express, business-to-business delivery services and provides on-demand, time-definite and day-certain delivery.
