Hong Kong's hockey captain turns out for Pakistan A in the local league and relishes a challenge. It won't come any bigger than today's Holland Cup final against First Division League champions Shaheen. The short corner specialist is 32.
Are you nervous before a big game? No. I love playing in big games. The bigger the occasion, the better I play.
Why did you take up hockey? I was inspired after watching Pakistan play in the Silver Jubilee tournament in Hong Kong in 1984.
How does it feel to captain Hong Kong? It feels good. I'm from Pakistan but I have lived most of my life here and I owe Hong Kong a lot. I'm very proud to play for Hong Kong.
Who is your favourite hockey player? Pakistan's Shabbaz Ahmed. He can do wonders with the stick.
What kind of music do you like? All kinds of Western pop. I also love Hindi music, especially songs by Kishore Kumar.
