The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.09 per cent, or 9.02 points, to 9,093.18 during the week. Banks led the index's 32-point decline on Friday after reports that bankruptcy orders rose to 2,710 last month from 1,769 in the same period last year as the sluggish economy prompted companies to fire staff and cut salaries, making it harder for people to repay debt.
