Shake it up baby! This summer I want to learn how to bellydance. I've tried a bit at home by myself, but I really need a proper teacher. Do you know anywhere in Hong Kong where I can learn? Josie Tam What an excellent idea. Bellydancing is a fun way to keep fit. There are a few places in Hong Kong that offer lessons. You could try Mey Jen Tillyer (tel: 2522 6698), who is the director of the Oasis Dance Collective and has 20 years' experience in the field. She offers lessons from beginners through to advanced. Lucille Essey (tel: 6278 1646), another Hong Kong-based bellydancing teacher, will offer reasonably-priced tailor-made classes for teenagers over the summer provided there are enough in the group. So persuade a few friends to join, and get shaking. Dating dilemma My best friend likes this guy who is going to ask me out. What should I do? I really like this guy as well, but I really love my friend and don't want to hurt her feelings. Somewhere in Mid-levels You should talk to your friend right now. Tell her you like this guy as well, so that she doesn't hear it from anyone else. If the guy asks you out, tell her, but explain to her that your friendship is more important than the date. Tell her you are curious to see what it would be like to spend time with this guy. Don't make a big thing out of it. Try and downplay the whole thing, but be honest. If she is upset, you might want to back off. She may come around later when she has had time to think about it.
