A blunder by Hong Kong team management brought teenager Tse Ka-chun's Table Tennis World Championship to a premature end. Tse, who had notched two impressive victories in the men's singles qualifying stage, was eliminated when he missed his match against Russian Alexei Liventsov. Instead of being at the arena, the 17-year-old was at his hotel because his coaches thought he had already qualified for the main draw. When the mistake was realised they rushed to the venue but were too late to prevent the walkover being declared. 'There was nothing I could do. It was too late. I was pretty upset,' Tse said.
