SWAROVSKI, the quality cut-crystal manufacturer, has appointed Leo Burnett to handle its local public relations account. Founded in Austria in 1895, the company provides more than 100,000 types of cut crystal stones to the jewellery industry throughout the world, as well as own-brand objets d'art and optical equipment.

Advertising and public relations manager for Swarovski, Lourdes Yau, declined to name the other agencies in the running, or the value of the account.
