A POLICE constable and a woman were killed and a detective sergeant was injured when their car was involved in a collision with a lorry in Sham Shui Po yesterday.
Two passengers in the car - Constable Cheung Fong-man, 26, attached to the Police Tactical Unit, and the woman, Kwong Siu-fan, 33, were certified dead on arrival at the Kwong Wah Hospital.
The driver, Detective Sergeant Mak Kei-chi, 41, attached to the Anti-Triad Squad at Kwun Tong police station, was admitted in fair condition.
The 30-year-old lorry driver suffered slight injuries. He was treated and discharged.
The accident happened in Lai Chi Kok Road near the junction with Tong Mei Road shortly after 2 am.
Meanwhile, a driver and four passengers were injured when the car in which they were travelling overturned in Yuen Long Road near Nam Hau Tsuen shortly after 6 pm yesterday.
