SIXTEEN Solar Ambassadors from the entertainment world brought joy to more than 30 elderly and mentally handicapped people at a game day held recently at the Causeway Bay Community Centre.
Alan Tam Wing-lun, Tony Leung Chiu-wai, Faye Wong Ching-man, Shirley Kwan Shuk-yee, Vivian Chow Wai-man, Liz Kong Hei-man, Stephanie Lai Ming-see, Fanny Yuen Kit-ying and Karen Mok Man-wai were among the singers who attended the event, organised by RadioTelevision Hong Kong as part of Solar Project '93.
The artists were beaten in a game of gate ball by four members from the Project Care Social Centre For the Elderly. They also helped their new friends from the Rehabilitation Division of St James' Settlement to complete a huge jigsaw puzzle.
At the event, RTHK announced that Solar Project '93 will be rounded off with a star-studded concert at the Sha Tin Racecourse on Monday.
The concert will feature 21 local singers, eight from Taiwan, and one each from China and the US.
Big names signed for the show include Jacky Chan, Alan Tam, Anita Mui, Andy Lau, Tony Leung, Anthony Wong, Faye Wong, Shirley Kwan, Vivian Chow, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Nicky Wu, L. A. Boyz and Tiffany.
